1. Overview
TalkAbout is an informational mobile app designed to provide users with access to store-related content, photos, brochures, brand information, useful links, and related content.
The app may display photos and gallery items, brochures and specials, brand information, useful links, contact options, external website links, YouTube or brand channel links, and downloadable or shareable content.
TalkAbout is designed to minimize data collection. The app does not require an account, does not ask for your name, and does not require you to submit personal information to use the main app features.
2. Information We Collect Directly
TalkAbout does not directly ask you to provide personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, physical address, account login details, or payment details. The app does not currently include user accounts, sign-in features, chat features, payment features, or user-submitted public profiles.
If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to include in that message.
3. Content Loaded by the App
TalkAbout may load publicly available or app-specific content from remote services such as Firebase, cloud storage, or other hosted sources. This content may include images, thumbnails, brochures, PDF files, configuration files, brand links, external URLs, and app content updates.
This content is generally the same for users and is used to keep the app updated without requiring a full app update for every content change. The app may cache images, brochures, PDFs, or other content temporarily on your device to improve performance and reduce loading times.
4. Contact Features and External Apps
TalkAbout may include contact options such as email, phone, WhatsApp, website links, map links, YouTube links, or other external links. When you use these options, the app may open another app or service on your device. TalkAbout does not collect or store the contents of emails, calls, WhatsApp messages, browser activity, or other communications that happen outside the app.
Any information you choose to provide through an external app or website is handled by that app, website, or service provider according to its own privacy policy.
5. Local App Data
TalkAbout may store limited local data on your device, such as cached images, cached brochures or PDFs, app settings, content cache information, recently loaded content, and basic preferences. You can remove locally stored data by clearing the app’s storage/data in your Android device settings or by uninstalling the app.
6. Analytics and Crash Reporting
TalkAbout may use Firebase, Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics, or similar services to help understand app performance, diagnose crashes, and improve the app. These services may collect limited technical information such as app version, device model, operating system version, crash logs, diagnostic information, general app usage events, installation identifiers, and basic interaction information.
7. Advertising
TalkAbout does not currently require advertising to provide its main features. If advertising is added in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain what advertising services are used and what information may be processed.
8. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell your personal information. We may share or allow access to limited data with hosting and cloud service providers, analytics and crash reporting providers, external services you choose to open, legal authorities where required, or where necessary to protect rights and security.
TalkAbout may contain links to third-party websites, apps, platforms, or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of third-party services.
9. Permissions Used by the App
TalkAbout may use internet and network-related permissions so that app content, images, brochures, PDFs, remote configuration, links, analytics, or crash reporting can function. The app does not require access to contacts, camera, microphone, SMS messages, phone call logs, precise GPS location, personal gallery photos/videos, or files on your device except where you choose to download or open app-provided content.
10. Children’s Privacy
TalkAbout is intended for a general audience, but it is not specifically directed at children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children and does not include user accounts, chat, or user-generated public profiles.
11. Data Retention and Deletion
Local cached content, app settings, and preferences may remain on your device until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Data processed by Firebase, analytics providers, crash reporting providers, cloud hosting providers, or external services is handled according to those providers’ own retention policies.
Because TalkAbout does not currently use accounts or store personal profiles on our own servers, there is no account deletion process inside the app.
12. Security, International Processing, and Changes
We take reasonable steps to keep the app safe and avoid unnecessary data collection, but no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure. Third-party services may process data on servers located in different countries. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time by changing the “Last updated” date.
